Welcome to St Johns Housing Trust

Bring & Buy Book Sale at the Health & Resource Centre, 28 Gordon Road.

St Johns Housing Trust will be holding a 'Bring & Buy' book sale at the Health & Resource Centre (28 Gordon Road, Lowestoft) from Tuesday 20th March 2012 until further notice, with proceeds from the sale going towards projects aiming to improve literacy for our clients.  The book sale is one of many events the Trust is running throughout the year to promote reading to its residents and clients.

John Room House in Thetford staged a 'Book 'n' Burger' night on World Book Day (1st March).  The night involved clients talking about their favourite book to one another as well as working together to create their own book of art work and poetry.

Further events planned include a 'Lowestoft History' day at Bridge View, which will include a trip to the archive office at Lowestoft Library to look through books and publications relating to the town, and a visit to the Maritime Museum.  Mums and children at Haven Court are having a shopping trip to purchase new books for their in-house library and will also visit Lowestoft Library.

A ripping good yarn: residents of John Room House at the 'Book 'n' Burger' night to mark World Book Day on 1st March 2012.
