Horticultural Project Manager

£23,000 pa 37.5 hpw, fixed term, funded to April 2014

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and innovative individual to deliver a Big Lottery funded Local Food project.This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in a new programme to develop vegetable gardens and a veggie box scheme across 5 of our hostels in Lowestoft and Norfolk.

This post will involve working some evenings and weekends and working alongside volunteers.You will require gardening experience as well as a driving licence.

As part of the selection process, you will be required to undertake a literacy and numeracy test.The results of the test will not inform the selection decision but may be used to inform future training and development needs.

Support Workers
Lowestoft

Support Workers, shift work based on a rota, £7.33 per hour to increase to £8.00 per hour after the probationary period
Casual Workers, as and when, £6.65 per hour

St Johns Housing Trust was established over 35 years ago to provide shelter to the homeless men and women of Lowestoft. Over the years the Trust has evolved to deliver the very best services in the provision of accommodation, support and resettlement services for homeless single men and women, young people, young single mothers and ex-offenders.

We are currently looking to recruit permanent Support Workers to work on a rota, either permanent nights or permanent days and casual workers to work as and when, when required.

To fulfil this role it is essential that you have good communication skills and an understanding of the needs of vulnerable and/or homeless individuals. The ability to work unsocial hours, to be able to remain calm in challenging situations and a willingness to complete the Trust training programme will be a basic requirement of the posts.
