Involve & Include (i2)
Bridge View Information & Advice Centre
The demand for St Johns Housing Trust's services is such that, in the past, we have only been able to serve a small proportion of the vulnerable in our community through our supported housing units. In response to this unmet need, the Trust has opened an information, guidance and advice centre in the form of
Bridge View (based in Commercial Road, Lowestoft).

In these difficult economic times, the number of people using our services due to unemployment and housing-related issues has increased. Similar to clients within our supported housing units, those that pay a visit to Bridge View can receive advice on housing and benefits, money management, education and training, employment / volunteering opportunities and counselling services. They are also able to access specialist services for substance misuse, and physical and mental health issues.
The staff team at Bridge View includes volunteers, many of whom have previously accessed our services and have first-hand experience of many of the issues our clients face. Since opening its doors, an average of over 200 people have 'dropped in' at Bridge View each week, and it has proved an invaluable resource for the homeless, vulnerable and socially excluded within the Waveney area.
Gordon Road Health & Resource Centre
The vision for the Centre is to provide quality community services that are driven by the needs of local residents and, as such, are tailored to their requirements. The building offers services from the Norfolk Health Foundation Healthcare Trust and Community Connexions health trainers as well as the joint project between Mind and the Mental Health Trust aiming to improve access to psychological therapies (IAPT).
The centre has a meeting room and 'hot desk' facility available for hire. For further information, or to make a booking, please contact:
Dual Diagnosis Team
Based at the Gordon Road Health & Resource Centre, the team consists of two mental health nurses and a support worker - all with experience of working with homeless, vulnerable and socially-ex cluded people whom for a variety of reasons have been unable to access or engage with other services.

The Team works alongside other mental health, drug/alcohol counselling and related services in order to provide all-round support to those living in supported housing and the community within the Waveney area. As a
direct-access service, the Team welcomes self-referrals (in addition to those made by other agencies). Referral forms can be requested by telephone, or via e-mail.
We currently offer two drop-in clinics a week at
Bridge View Information & Advice Centre in Commercial Road (Lowestoft), where those in need of support can access our service without having to make a referral or arrange an appointment. These are held on
Mondays
, 2pm-4pm); and
Thursdays,
10am-
